Speak the name and leave the rest

It was early hours in the morning, the thoughts of getting an A in statistics exam was running through my head before I spotted a rat running towards my leg.  My heart skipped! So much adrenaline rushed through  my body. I ran  so fast with splashes of the water I fetched following me. 
On entering my room, I retraced my steps, wondering why I acted that way. I have JESUS Christ in me, why then will I be scared of a rat?
 Reminds me of Jaden. Jaden entered the examination hall for a statistics examination, he was happy because he had fully prepared the night before but when he saw the exam questions, his memory went blank. Sad isn't it?. He was tempted to call upon his friend to help him out but a thought ran through his mind and he got conscious of the Holy Spirit,  the only one able to help him out in that situation. At the point when results came out, he got an A in statistics. 
Sometimes, we encounter trials, situations that  test our faith... In order to get out of those situations, we make some choices from our human point of view.. But that's not how it ought to be.. In every situation we face, we're meant to call upon the name of the Lord for help. He's our only true helper.. The Bible makes us to understand in Proverbs  18:10 that,"The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." So I urge you all that no matter the situation you're in or the circumstance you're facing, never neglect that name, JESUS.. There's power in that name. Use it wisely...
P.S: Don't joke with the name or call it in vain.

Garment of praise for heaviness

Something happened some days back - the results of an exam I wrote several months ago came out and I was short of words. My emotions were mixed -not happy, not sad, but something in between. What I got was totally different from what I expected - I expected grades extremely higher, but what I saw was ‘low’ in my eyes. Not necessarily low, but I wasn’t content with what I saw. When I did a rundown of all the grades, I had nothing to say than ‘thank you Jesus’. Some things that would have drastically tarnished my career  lifted me up. I saw ‘A’ in those courses. My joy knew no bounds because I remembered the battle I had with God to give me an ‘A’ or nothing else. I prayed earnestly especially for those courses and I had a pleasant and delightful surprise. My mood changed again. I mean, the devil was in action. He took my mind straight to the course I wasn’t happy with and all I could feel for approximately the next 30 minutes was sorrow.   Have you ever been in a situation where someone treats you like trash? I don’t mean a one time thing. I’m talking about a constant habit. This person has no regard for you, your emotions, your well-being and everything that has to do with you. To the person, it’s like you’re a nobody and your viewpoints have no worth. To be honest, it’s not surprising and it necessarily isn’t your fault that the person behaves the way he/she does. You try as much as possible to be a good person that you are, only to be treated like crap. You wonder why the person can’t reciprocate the kindness you show but your thoughts do not count because they can’t influence the person’s nature. Neglected and hurt, you wonder what can be done to change the way things are.
